Inn History

Beginning its business activities in 1992, the Pousada das Cavernas located in Bairro da Serra (small village between Bairro de Iporanga and Núcleo Santana), made its first step assisting almost exclusively schools and ecotourism travel agencies.

Due to the increase of ecotourism, the Pousada das Cavernas has improved and has become the best Inn in the region.

The Pousada das Cavernas Inn has cosy and comfortable rooms overlooking Bethary Valley, where tourists can rest and appreciate the beauty of the Mata Atlântica (a vast region of lush rainforest which follows coastlines and mountain ranges).

The Pousada das Cavernas Inn proudly welcomes our friends and customers, well-deserving its reputation of the best lodging of the PETAR region.

Suites to four or six persons overlooking Bethary valley. With our latest enlargements, our new suites have now living room and bathroom for up to four persons. We also have suites for couples with, TV, video, air conditioner, minibar and a comfortable couch.

American bar, restaurant with very good home-made food, managed by "Dona Ilda" who prepares a very tasty food with a delicious flavoring,  also serving the guests and visitors of PETAR in a cordial way.

The living room has a fireplace for cold winters and wide terraces for hot summers.  There is a shop with basic equipment for your stay and also accessories and equipment for hiking and for your adventures in the caves. It also has a sauna with  resting area and a view to a natural pool, where one can dive and relax after the sauna.
